It is so easy to put things off, whether it's studying for an exam or cleaning out a closet. When we put off a task, we procrastinate, which in Latin literally means "moving things forward until tomorrow."

Abraham Lincoln once said: You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.

Moving our responsibilities forward until tomorrow does not make those responsibilities go away. In fact, it can make them seem bigger and more stressful. So if you think you have an issue with procrastination, ask for some help.

There are strategies and tools available to overcome the problem. But here's the trick: you can't procrastinate about getting help. Speak to someone today, not because you ought to, but because you want to be the best person you can be, and procrastination can be a big obstacle to your personal success.

Make it a great day . . . or not. The choice is yours.
